2. Eat, Drink and Be Merry at Tiger Lily

TigerLilyExteriorOur second Queer Thing to Do in PDX is one of the newest things to do, and it is just over the border in Vancouver.

The newest destination for the Vancouver LGBT community is Tiger Lily, a new downtown restaurant and bar owned and operated by Jackie Stone.  A year of hard work and planning has paid off, and Tiger Lily just opened in December 2012. And, I can report that it is absolutely delicious.

The fun menu offers a wide variety of bistro staples, and the tropical themed bar is the new place to be in Vancouver on Friday and Saturday nights.  But, Jackie envisions a bigger purpose for Tiger Lily.  The space also has a stage and lighting system, which will feature variety shows and more.  (And, I’m secretly hoping for some karaoke!).  Community groups like PABA and Saturday in the Park will also use Tiger Lily for meetings and events.  And, I’m sure more than a few wedding receptions will be held there in the near future.

Being just ten minutes from downtown Portland, everyone in the greater PDX queer community should come out to Tiger Lily for a burger, a brew and a gay old time.
