3. Shake It at Bearracuda on January 12

bearracudaWhen the Bearracuda DJs come to town, it can get out of control.  This is no polite affair where the hirsute men of Portland get together and groove to Madonna.  These are some of the best DJs in the US and a room full of partygoers who are ready to dance all night.  If you haven’t been to Bearracuda, then you just got some plans made for January 12th.

The Bearracuda phenomenon started in San Francisco about 6 years ago and quickly spread to Portland and other towns.  Bearracuda returns to Portland on January 12th.  It is at Rotture this time around.  Festivities start at 9pm and go until the cows come home.  Seriously, I’ve been to these where it doesn’t wrap up well until the wee hours of the morning.  With DJs Matt Stands and John Cross for only $6.

One thing I love about Bearracuda is how welcoming it is.  If you love to dance, you are a Bearracuda for the night.
